Wedding Bell Blues

Plot:

It's the morning after Rebecca's drunken spree, where she admitted to herself and Sam that she didn't love Robin and was going to call off the wedding. However, what a little sobering up will do for the memory: she remembers nothing about that night and neither calls off the wedding or remembers that she doesn't love Robin. This is Frasier's gain as, still hogging time on the karaoke machine, gets his first real gig when Rebecca asks him to sing at the wedding. But Sam, as Rebecca's friend, will do whatever he can to jog Rebecca's memory about the night. The road to the wedding moves forward, and Frasier is excited about singing, until Robin surprises Rebecca with yet another Righteous Brother to sing at the wedding, this time being <a href="/name/nm0368825/">Bobby Hatfield</a>. But music is a strong associative stimulus and while Rebecca is walking down the aisle, Sam gets Bobby to sing "We've Got Tonight", a song she sang that night. It does the trick as everything about the night, including the fact that she doesn't love Robin, comes flooding back. She leaves Robin at the altar. In the back room, Rebecca, confused, needs someone to clarify her thoughts. Sam tells her that if she ever loved Robin, it must have been solely for his money. Hurt that he would think her so shallow, she decides to go through with the wedding. At the "I do's", Rebecca can't go through with it. Later, at the bar, Rebecca ponders life when Robin comes back to talk to her. Robin asks her if he was still rich with $6 million, would she still love him. He asks her this as he tells her he has stashed away that much from the authorities. Her answer is no. Just then, he uncovers a money belt taped to the bottom her desk drawer, the belt filled with $6 million. Robin is off, out of Rebecca's life. She is in further misery as she only said no as she thought he was bluffing about the money.
