Plot:

Al is shocked to hear that his father is in debt to loan shark Alistair Tonken and his menacing son Norman, and lends him the money Ruth gave him to buy a new fence. When the Tonkens demand interest, Bert plans a money-making Spanish evening suggested by Eleanor. But Eleanor not only annoys Louisa and Martin by farming their baby out to an irresponsible young girl, she also keels over with a hernia, requiring Martin to perform emergency surgery.
